Therapy
I provide therapy for children (7+), adolescents, and adults to include couples and family work. I approach my work with a warm and nonjudgmental attitude, prioritizing empathy and mutual respect. My primary focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, one that validates, emphasizes, and empowers them throughout their journey. My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and integrates narrative, existential, and other evidence-based approaches when helpful. In practice, this means we build psychological flexibility, clarify values, and develop practical tools that translate into daily life. Therapy with me is thoughtful and useful. I’m collaborative, open-minded, and direct. We work toward meaningful insight — not performative insight — and toward changes that feel sustainable in real environments.
I assist clients in exploring and understanding any factors that might be contributing to the challenges they are experiencing. My support extends to helping clients manage difficult emotions, breaking free from unhelpful thought patterns, and equipping them with practical tools to enhance their resilience and navigate the obstacles that life presents. My ultimate goal is to guide clients towards healing and personal growth.
Parent Support
When working with children and adolescents, I adopt an approach that involves collaborating with parents to gain a deeper understanding of their children and provide support at home that complements the work we do in therapy and any school supports. I firmly believe that a strong support system and a partnership between parents and professionals are crucial for the success of young individuals.
Parental support includes psychoeducation and parent-centered sessions, which are designed to assist in implementing skills and strategies to address behavioral, social-emotional, and academic concerns. Throughout the therapeutic process, I actively involve caregivers while maintaining confidentiality regarding what your child, teen, or adolescent shares during sessions. My priority is to create a warm and welcoming environment where clients feel safe and trust that their concerns are treated with the utmost care. My ultimate goal is to equip caregivers with resources and strategies that extend beyond our therapy sessions, empowering them to continue nurturing connection, growth, and resilience in their children.
I also offer guidance around school-related concerns, including special education services and home–school collaboration. Drawing on my experience working within educational systems and my work teaching School Psychology to graduate students, I provide informed, strategic support to help families navigate and access resources within schools. I have extensive knowledge of special education processes, including IEPs and 504 plans, and help families understand their options, advocate effectively, and ensure supports are meaningful and appropriate for their child—especially in a setting where children spend a significant portion of their daily lives.
AI’s Place in Therapy
I recognize the growing role of technology, including Artificial Intelligence, in how people seek support. As someone who has grown up alongside these tools, and uses them myself, I understand the value they can offer in providing information, reflection, and guidance. At the same time, therapy is more than strategies, advice, or a space to vent. Research consistently shows that meaningful change is rooted in the human relationship—the connection, trust, and shared understanding that develops between therapist and client. While AI can be a helpful support, it cannot replace that relationship. Rather than rejecting these tools, I take a thoughtful approach to them. AI can be a useful supplement to therapy, and together we can explore how to use it in a way that supports your growth without replacing the depth and nuance of human connection.
Insurance & Private Pay
I am in-network with BCBS PPO, and Aetna. Private pay options are also available for clients who prefer not to use insurance or are out-of-network. For more information, please reach out!
What to expect
We begin with a 15-minute consultation call to answer initial questions and determine fit. If you feel like this is a good fit, then we will get a profile setup for you within SimplePractice where you will fill out some intake forms and then schedule your first session! This process can feel intimidating but I hope to make it simple and seamless for you.
As we get started working together, we will first begin to build our relationship together and figure out what best suits your goals and needs. Some clients benefit from short-term, skills-based work. Others prefer longer-term, exploratory support. The goal is steady progress that feels relevant and applicable outside of session. Therapy sessions are structured but flexible — grounded yet conversational
Parent Coaching
Parent work is not just about strategies for managing child behavior, though that is certainly part of it. It often involves thoughtful adjustments in how adults respond to a child’s needs, regulate themselves in challenging moments, and structure the environment in ways that support the entire family system.
My work focuses on helping parents use practical strategies while also thinking flexibly and responding in ways that align with their values and what feels meaningful for their family.
Practical strategies that work in real environments
Adjusting adult responses to better meet child needs
Strengthening communication and boundaries
Supporting regulation across the family unit
Navigating IEP and school systems with clarity
Family Therapy
Family work is often integrated into individual therapy with children, teens, and early adolescents, and I work with families as a whole when it’s helpful to improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen relationships.
Conflict can be difficult, especially when everyone is trying in their own way but things still aren’t working. I help families slow things down, understand each person’s role, and find more effective ways of interacting.

Strengthening communication and boundaries
Supporting emotional regulation across the family
Navigating IEPs and school systems with greater clarity and confidence
Couples Therapy
Relationships can be challenging, especially when you’re trying to build a life together, align on values, and manage day-to-day stressors. In these moments, it can help to slow things down and better understand how each person is communicating, responding, and contributing to the patterns in the relationship.
I offer couples and family sessions that focus on:
Improving communication and understanding each other’s needs
Clarifying shared values and what you’re working toward together
Navigating conflict in more constructive and less reactive ways
Strengthening emotional regulation within the relationship or family system
Providing support around school-related concerns, including IEPs and educational planning when relevant
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a big part of my work. I work with adolescents and adults to sort through what’s been weighing on them, navigate challenges with more clarity, and build practical strategies that support real, lasting change.
Many of the people I work with are dealing with anxiety, stress, or a general sense that something feels off, even if they can’t fully put it into words yet. Others are exploring identity, relationships, or trying to figure out what direction feels right for them.
My approach is collaborative and grounded. We focus on making sense of patterns together, understanding what may be contributing to your experience, and building tools that actually fit your life, so that you leave sessions with both insight and something you can use.
